Establishment process

In 1995, twelve Japanese language teachers who had all lived abroad came together. They were all interested in international exchange. Two years later, in 1997, they established WAK JAPAN (Women’s Association of Kyoto) in order to create new jobs and expand their abilities through international exchange service.

Not only Japanese media such as Kyoto News Paper, Mainichi News Paper, Sankei News Paper, but also overseas media, such as Boston Herald, National Post, Daily Herald, Newsday, etc., have introduced WAK’s activities. We hope that you will understand the aim of our activities
