Tsumami Zaiku Experience (Private)

Rooted in over 200 years of history, Tsumami-Zaiku is a traditional Japanese craft that originated in the Edo period. This intricate technique, unique to Kyoto, involves delicately folding and pinching colorful pieces of fabric to create graceful, three-dimensional floral motifs—each petal a reflection of refined Japanese aesthetics.
In this hands-on experience, you will craft your own Tsumami-Zaiku and finish it as a decorative item such as a can badge or Kanzashi (a traditional hairpin) to take home. Perfect as a meaningful keepsake from your journey or a thoughtful gift for someone special. We warmly invite you to discover the charm of Japanese craftsmanship through this elegant encounter with history and artistry.
